Graduate Adjunct Instructor

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Educational Policy and Leadership is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor/lecturer to teach a hybrid section of EDPL 6720: Business Administration of Educational Organizations during the summer session 2 (7/6 - 8/15).

• Plan and teach weekly classes
• Evaluate student learning using appropriate assessment methods and College of Education program evaluation system
• Maintain and submit accurate and current records concerning student accountability, attendance, and performance
• Maintain a student-oriented approach to education
• Provide opportunities for individual consultation and feedback for students in the course
• Provide frequent communication with students on their progress in the course
• Hold oneself accountable to professional and ethical standards and adhere to University policies and procedures

OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree.
• Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• PhD highly preferred or Master’s degree and substantial experience in higher education.
• Excellent oral and written communication and proficiency.
• Knowledge of research methods and educational contexts.
