About the role
The Grading Superintendent oversees grading operations, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of construction grading techniques.
Responsibilities
- Oversee grading projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement grading plans that optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of grading activities into overall construction projects.
- Ensure all grading activities are conducted safely, adhering to company safety protocols and regulations.
- Monitor and maintain equipment in good working order, ensuring it meets all safety and performance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction grading management.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of construction workers.
- Strong knowledge of grading techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with construction management software.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
