Grading Superintendent

About the role

The Grading Superintendent oversees grading operations, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of construction grading techniques.

Responsibilities

• Oversee grading projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement grading plans that optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of grading activities into overall construction projects.
• Ensure all grading activities are conducted safely, adhering to company safety protocols and regulations.
• Monitor and maintain equipment in good working order, ensuring it meets all safety and performance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction grading management.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of construction workers.
• Strong knowledge of grading techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with construction management software.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
