Grading Foreman

JOB REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for a Grading Foreman responsible for accurate reporting of materials, equipment, and hours of work as well as the management and safety of the personnel on his/her crew and the safety of the public, and ensuring regulatory and safety measures are maintained. The position requires checking line and grade, proper utilization of equipment for tasks involving grade, slope, and yield, operating a variety of power equipment and machinery as needed, and performing other duties as directed by the Construction Manager or other management.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Punctuality and dependability
• Able to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed
• Tolerant of and capable of working in variable weather conditions and dirty/dusty environments
• Member of a local trade union or willing to become one
• 3-5 years of experience in the construction trade, and 2-4 years of experience as a foreman
