Grader Lead

About the role

We are seeking an Egg Room Lead to oversee grading services that ensure consumers receive safe, wholesome, quality eggs, egg products, and poultry. This role enforces grading standards and regulations to maintain uniformity and compliance across the egg and poultry industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of eggs, egg products, and poultry.
• Conduct physical examinations of products and apply appropriate grade designations.
• Monitor plant operations to ensure compliance with sanitation and quality control standards.
• Resolve issues of non-compliance.
• Analyze, summarize, and review data; report findings, interpret results, and make recommendations.
• Maintain detailed inspection or investigation records and prepare reports.
• Conduct on-site reviews and confer with staff and agency officials on problem areas.
• Interpret, clarify, explain, and apply agency policies, procedures, business practices, federal or state laws, and regulations.

Requirements

• Experience grading eggs.
• Experience in preparing and writing reports.
• Attention to detail.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Strong communication skills.
