Education Lead
This is a Gloucestershire County Council job based at Shire Hall, Block 4, 3rd Floor.
About The Role
Gloucestershire County Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior leader from the school system, to lead our school improvement team. In this role you will be responsible for leading our local school improvement strategy and leading, managing and empowering a team of experienced performance advisers to identify and support LA maintained schools to deliver high quality education for the children of Gloucestershire.
The post holder will work closely with Education Psychology; Advisory Teaching and Inclusion services to ensure a joined up and collaborative approach to supporting and challenging school performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the local school improvement strategy.
- Lead, manage, and empower a team of experienced performance advisers.
- Identify and support LA maintained schools to deliver high quality education.
- Collaborate with Education Psychology, Advisory Teaching, and Inclusion services.
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK that enables commitment to at least 6 months' employment (not transferable from a sponsored role with another employer).
- Ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in fluent English (legal requirement for customer-facing roles).
- This position is subject to an Enhanced & Barred DBS check.

Pay
£71,540 - £76,924 per annum.
Schedule
37 hours per week.
