Job Summary
Knife River Idaho is seeking a Grade Foreman to contribute to the company's success. The Foreman will ensure a safe work environment, manage project costs, and oversee construction crews.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of safety rules, regulations, construction layout, and project specifications.
- Understand underground utility work and operate a range of construction equipment, including performing basic maintenance.
- Supervise a crew of one or more employees, developing and executing work plans and schedules to meet project goals.
- Prepare or assist in preparing job tracking documentation and employee time records.
- Maintain consistent attendance and a strong safety record, setting a positive example for the team.
- Perform steady to intermittent physical labor, including standing, stooping, climbing, and manual tasks.
Requirements
- Five (5) years or more preferred in underground utility excavation and general construction operations.
- One (1) year or more managing/supervising construction crews.
- Verifiable experience as an equipment operator.
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work day shifts and night shifts, including weekends.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and travel as required.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Qualifications
- Must be hardworking, dependable, and able to perform manual labor for approximately 80% of the work shift.
