About The Position
This is a 1.0 FTE non-continuing leave replacement position for a Grade 3 Teacher at Sherwood Elementary for the 2026-27 school year. Preference will be given to candidates holding an ELL, ESOL, or Bilingual endorsement. SIOP and GLAD training will be provided by the Multilingual Education Department for all new employees, with completion required within the first two years of employment.

- A Washington State Teaching Certificate with an Elementary Education endorsement, or the ability to obtain one prior to the position start date.

Pay & Benefits
- Salary Range: $83,305 through $148,226 (2026-27 Salary Schedule not yet finalized).

Eligibility for health insurance is based on being compensated at least 630 hours per school year (September 1 through August 31). For the 2026-27 school year, a .5 FTE continuing contract position meets this threshold. Eligibility for retirement is based on working at least 70 hours per month for 5 months during the school year. For the 2026-27 school year, a .6 FTE (either continuing or non-continuing) meets this threshold.
