Grad Pharmacist

About the role

We are looking for a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to join our team. As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will gain valuable experience applying your didactic learning from pharmacy school and pharmacy practice in a real-world setting. Your role will involve assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, filling prescriptions accurately, and providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice
• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation
• Support pharmacy operations by operating as part of the team, following SOPs, and communicating effectively
• Provide empathetic and caring service to patients
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by offering services like immunizations and point-of-care testing
• Support immunizations as required, including vaccine preparation and administration
• Monitor and respond to adverse reactions, report events, and maintain accurate records
• Assist with inventory activities as permitted by law
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance team performance and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment
• Comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles

Requirements

To qualify, you must have completed a U.S. accredited PharmD program prior to starting the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health. You must also be able to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, as per state guidelines. Additionally, you must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Attention and focus to concentrate on tasks over a period of time
• Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
• Attention to detail for confirming prescription information and label accuracy
• Effective communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues
• Mathematical reasoning to solve problems related to prescription filling
• Problem resolution to identify and address challenging patient or colleague interactions
• Physical demands to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and/or exert up to 20 lbs. of force

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $23.75 - $42.00 per hour. This part-time position is eligible for a range of benefits and programs that support the physical, emotional, and financial well-being of colleagues.
