About the role
The Graduate Internship at Mayo Clinic is designed for students enrolled in a master’s or graduate degree program. It aims to provide relevant field experiences in their chosen field of study through mentorship and hands-on learning. Interns are expected to observe and participate in the functions and processes of the assigned work unit and may be given selected work assignments.
Responsibilities
- Provide relevant field experiences in their chosen field of study under the supervision of assigned mentors.
- Observe and learn from the functions and processes of the assigned work unit.
- Assess performance levels and provide benefit to the work unit through selected work assignments.
- Complete all internship-related assignments and reports for both Mayo Clinic and the participating educational facility.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a master’s or graduate degree program from a college or university.
- Must have authorization to work and remain in the United States, without necessity for Mayo Clinic sponsorship now, or in the future.
- Must be U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Qualifications Preferred
- Advise and educate research fellows, clinical fellows, and residents on statistical and AI-assisted research tools and workflows.
- Ongoing refinement and integration of the statistical analysis pipeline with the QHS biostatistics team.
- Supporting the research workflow of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, beginning with projects under Dr. Naveen Pereira's leadership.

Pay
This position has a predetermined rate of $20.50 per hour.
Schedule
The internship is full-time and lasts for one year, starting from the start date. It operates Monday through Friday.
