About the Role

UIC Technology Solutions is looking for qualified graduate students to assist the software development team with full stack development. This is a great opportunity for students to gain valuable experience in the field of software development, applying their knowledge to real-world projects and be involved in the entire software development life cycle.

Responsibilities

  • API Development and Integration
  • API Testing and Debugging
  • Front-end development
  • UI Component Testing and E2E testing
  • Code, Database and DB Query Optimization
  • Create developer documentation and user training manuals
  • Participate actively in daily stand-ups and group meetings
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Admission to and good academic standing in a graduate degree program at the University of Illinois Chicago
  • Computer Science background
  • Previous experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful Web Services, SQL
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work 20 hrs/week; summer and winter breaks strongly preferred
