Gr Ops Delivery Consultant - HDQ

About the role

Ground Operations Delivery Consultant supports Ground Operations by driving strategic and operational initiatives that advance Safety, performance, productivity, and Company objectives. They partner across Ground Operations, Technology, and enterprise Teams to align priorities, coordinate implementation efforts, and deliver transformational changes that enhance both frontline operation and the Customer experience. They support strategy, analysis, design, and execution activities while ensuring operational standards, business applications, and cross‑functional efforts align with Ground Operations goals. They leverage strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills to influence Stakeholders, drive meaningful change, and deliver business value across the operation.

The role is based at the Southwest Airlines Dallas, TX headquarters facility and requires working on‑site during business hours. U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the United States is required; no sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Support programs and initiatives prioritized by Executive Leadership and Department Portfolio, including transformation initiatives, department imperatives, and operational challenges and opportunities
• Lead and/or collaborate with diverse cross‑functional teams within Ground Operations, as well as various Operations and Commercial Teams, to devise holistic strategy to accomplish directed objectives
• Design strategic plans with tangible milestones and achievements, emphasizing change management, and execute implementation to the broader Ground Operations organization, compliant to Southwest standards
• Develop business insights from qualitative and quantitative information, historical data and subject matter expert feedback
• Distill complex objectives, problems and data sets into simple summaries that can be understood by a variety of audiences
• Analyze Operational and Department impacts, risks and dependencies of projects to determine a proactive approach to implementation
• Solicit feedback and decisions throughout projects from subject matter experts and various stakeholders, both internal and external to Ground Operations
• Develop well‑written presentations that are clear and convey key information, including business cases, roadmaps and other materials that support alignment efforts
• Communicate timelines, risks, and issues to multiple stakeholders both internal and external to Ground Operations regarding assigned projects and initiatives
• Grow and maintain strong partnerships with Ground Operations partner teams including, but not limited to: Business Applications, Standards, Compliance
