About the role

Amazon's Perfect Order Experience team works to ensure that buyers receive authentic products in the condition and with the functionality they are expecting. The Global Product Verification (GPV) team supports these goals by acting as a reliable product authentication and verification service for third-party products sold on Amazon. As a GPV Lab Metrology Technician, you will support expanding and scaling the use of metrology-based applications and techniques to aid in establishing authenticity of products.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all metrology-based tools and systems enabling investigators to conduct product analysis at scale
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, and ensure the laboratory is clean and organized
  • Interpret, analyze, and communicate results to relevant stakeholders
  • Provide weekly/monthly reporting (KPIs) of impact and output of lab
  • Follow standard operating procedures and good laboratory practices
  • Participate in internal and external audits, and maintain a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements
  • Generate and update standard operating procedures and test methods
  • Troubleshoot laboratory issues and recommend solutions
  • Provide support to other team members as needed
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing performed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience working cross-functionally and across regions
  • Experience in oral and written communication
  • Experience in trust and safety compliance or risk
  • Experience using Excel and SQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional experience
  • 4+ years of hardware development, test lab, or hands-on engineering environment experience
  • Master's degree in engineering, physics, or equivalent
  • ASQ’s Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) Level-One/Level-Two
  • Proficiency with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)

Pay

USA, WA, Seattle — $80,200.00 – $120,400.00 USD annually
