Pay

Starting at $24.40/hr plus shift premiums:

  • $3.50 for evening shifts
  • $2.50 for night shifts
  • Additional $1 shift differential for weekends

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Must have—or have applied for—a temporary LPN practice permit for the state of Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Charge Nurse for assigned resident care unit, ensuring continuous clinical leadership
  • Direct CNAs and RCAs regarding resident care and notify families, physicians, and departments of residents' needs
  • Collect data on residents and accurately document residents' condition and care provided
  • Complete assigned paperwork (e.g., wound documentation, recap of important orders, MARS, TARS) for each resident on the assigned unit
  • Perform clinical testing such as glucometer and pulse oximetry as necessary
  • Administer ordered medications and treatments, including monitoring of IV fluids
  • Monitor effectiveness of medications and treatments
  • Assist in completion of 24 Hour Change of Condition Roster
