About the role

Big Blue Marble Academy is seeking individuals who are passionate about teaching children to celebrate differences and appreciate diversity. The role involves managing classrooms, implementing educational curricula, and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily lesson plans aligned with educational standards.
• Provide individualized attention to students to support their learning needs.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and concerns.
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of materials necessary for classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant experience in child care or education.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 2-5.
• Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
• Knowledge of child development stages and best practices in early childhood education.
