Government Relations Intern

Energy Trust of Oregon · Portland, OR · 1 mo ago
$18/hrTemporary
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? Actually description includes sections: Position, Reports to, Compensation*, Employment Classification, Application End Date, Anticipated Start Date, Office Location, About Energy Trust, Our Vision, Our Commitment to Diversity, Our Location, What We’re Looking For, What You’ll Do (with subparts), Supervisory Responsibility, Requirements, etc. We must use

for section headings (e.g., About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). We should only include sections when posting has real specific content. We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID etc. Remove boilerplate like EEO, legal, application instructions, etc. Also remove duplicated lines. We need to preserve all substantive information. So we need to extract meaningful content: description of role, responsibilities, requirements, compensation (pay rate), schedule (hours per week), location, maybe benefits? Not mentioned benefits explicitly. There's mention of compensation and pay equity but no benefits. So we should not create Benefits section unless stated. Pay section: we have compensation: Competitive starting pay rate: $18.00 per hour. Also mention full pay range included to show potential earnings. We can include Pay section with that info. Schedule: part-time internship (15-20 hours per week, negotiable upon hire) and may not exceed 1,000 total hours worked. Also Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible; position is open until filled. Application End Date: 10/13/2026. Those could go under Schedule? Actually schedule is about hours; we could have a Schedule section for hours per week. Application dates maybe not needed as heading; could be placed in a short

metadata. The instruction: do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it. So we can include a short paragraph for metadata like Application End Date, Anticipated Start Date, Employment Classification, etc. We need sections: About the role (maybe "About the role" corresponds to description of role and responsibilities). Could have "Responsibilities" for What You’ll Do. "Requirements" for Requirements. "Qualifications" maybe not separate; we can combine with Requirements. "Skills" maybe not needed. "Pay" for compensation. "Schedule" for hours. "Benefits" only if present; not present, so omit. We also need to include "About the role" maybe a brief summary: Position: Government Relations Intern Reports to: Government and Stakeholder Relations Lead. Also mention it's temporary part-time internship. We need to preserve all substantive information: include details about Energy Trust, vision, commitment to diversity, location options, etc. Those could go under "About the role" or maybe a separate "About the organization" but not in allowed headings list. The allowed headings list includes About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We should stick to those. So we can put organizational info under About the role. We must not invent sections like "About Energy Trust". So we incorporate that content into About the role paragraph. We must not include boilerplate EEO etc. So we need to strip those. Let's extract substantive content: - Position: Government Relations Intern - Reports to: Government and Stakeholder Relations Lead - Compensation*: Competitive starting pay rate: $18.00 per hour. It does not identify all tasks that may be expected, nor address the performance standards that must be maintained. We need to exclude application instructions, EEO statements, etc. Now produce HTML: We'll have a

for metadata maybe: Application End Date, Anticipated Start Date, Employment Classification, Office Location (maybe include location options). Could combine. Then sections:

About the role

... includes position, reports to, description of Energy Trust, vision, commitment to diversity, location options, etc.

Responsibilities

  • ... list each responsibility bullet? Could break into subpoints but we can just list each major duty as
  • . Could also embed the sub-bullets as nested
  • but spec says use
    • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. So we can have top-level
        with each duty as
      • . Inside each
      • we can have further detail as sentences. We need to include the three categories with percentages maybe as part of description. We'll create
      • for each of the three main areas, with details.

        Requirements

        • ... each requirement. We also need Pay section:

          Pay

Competitive starting pay rate: $18.00 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors... full pay range included to show potential earnings for this position with sustained high performance.

          Schedule:

          Schedule

This is a temporary, part-time internship (15-20 hours per week, negotiable upon hire) and may not exceed 1,000 total hours worked.

We might also include Anticipated Start Date and Application End Date in a metadata paragraph. We must not include Benefits section. Now ensure we don't repeat job title as heading. We didn't. We must not include any boilerplate like EEO, legal, application instructions. Check for duplicated lines: we need to avoid repeating same sentences. Now produce HTML fragment. Let's craft. Metadata paragraph: Could be:

Application end date: 10/13/2026. Anticipated start date: As soon as possible; position is open until filled. Employment classification: Non‑Exempt / Internship. Office location: Portland Metro Area, Oregon, USA (remote/hybrid options available; open to candidates throughout Oregon and Washington).

Now About the role paragraph: combine position, reports to, description of Energy Trust, vision, commitment to diversity, location options (maybe already in metadata). We'll avoid duplication. Let's write:

          About the role
