About the Role
A Technology Co. is seeking a lawyer with 5+ years of experience in Government Contracts (including Federal, State, and Municipal) for a 3-4 month remote engagement starting as soon as possible. The role involves managing the full lifecycle of government contracts and serving as an internal resource on federal acquisition requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support the legal team's contracts review function by reading, interpreting, and evaluating government contract terms and conditions, identifying risks and non-standard terms, and communicating findings to counsel and senior management.
- Manage the full lifecycle of the company's government contracts—including prime contracts, subcontracts, task and delivery orders, blanket agreements, and modifications—from pre-award review through administration and closeout.
- Serve as an internal resource on OTA, FAR, DFARS, and other applicable federal acquisition regulations and contracting types, advising teams on compliance requirements, flow-down clauses, and contractual obligations.
- Support the drafting, review, and negotiation of government-facing agreements, NDAs, teaming agreements, and contract modification requests in coordination with internal stakeholders and counsel.
- Track and manage contract deliverables, reporting obligations, representations and certifications, and key dates, escalating risks and deadlines proactively.
- Coordinate responses to government requests, contract audits, and inquiries, and support related compliance matters in partnership with the legal team.
- Monitor new and proposed laws, regulations, and policy changes affecting government contracting and assess their potential impact on current and future company contracts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Government Contracts (Federal, State, and Municipal).
- Available for a 3-4 month engagement, starting immediately.
- Both full-time (30-40 hours per week) and part-time (10-20 hours per week) candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates will be employed through an Employer of Record (W-2) for the duration of the engagement.
- Remote work arrangement.
Pay
$100 - $125 per hour.
