Government Contracts Counsel
Axiom is seeking Government Contract Attorneys to support well-known clients. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in government contracts law, with expertise in advising on state, local, and/or federal government contracts. These attorneys will be embedded within in-house legal teams, providing legal advice and support to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on all aspects of government contracting, including contract formation, negotiation, performance, and termination, and provide support on government contracts-related issues as they arise.
- Assist clients in navigating government procurement processes, including bid protests, requests for proposals (RFPs), and contract disputes.
- Provide legal counsel on compliance matters related to government contracts, including applicable regulations such as FAR and DFARS, certifications, and reporting requirements.
- Provide legal counsel and support on all aspects of state and local government contracting, including bid preparation, proposal submission, contract negotiation, and contract administration.
- Advise clients on regulatory compliance matters related to state and local government procurement, including adherence to applicable statutes, regulations, and policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on government contracts, ideally in an IT corporation.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal acquisition regulations (FAR), agency-specific regulations, and other laws governing government contracts.
- Strong knowledge of state and local procurement laws, regulations, and procedures, including experience with public sector contracting and regulatory compliance.
- Actively licensed and in good standing in a U.S. state.
Pay
The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500–325,000 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
