Governance, Risk, and Compliance Manager - Healthcare
About the role
The Weaver Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to join our expanding Healthcare practice. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership potential, client service excellence, and a deep understanding of internal audit, compliance, and consulting services.
Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of internal audit, compliance, and consulting services for clients in various industries, particularly in healthcare.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including executives and boards of directors.
- Manage and mentor a team of up to 5 individuals, providing guidance on technical and non-technical matters.
- Develop and provide presentations and briefings to senior management and boards.
- Build and provide presentations and briefings to senior management and boards.
- Engage in professional organizations such as IIA, AHIA, AGA, ALGA, AICPA, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
- CPA, CIA, or other relevant certification.
- 4+ years of experience in client service roles, organizational experience in internal audit or compliance, or consulting experience.
- Experience in healthcare industry, including public health and private healthcare.
- Advanced understanding of compliance, internal audit, risk, COSO internal control framework, and IIA Global Audit standards.
- Advanced professional writing skills and executive presence.
- Strong project management, independent thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills.
- Experience in managing, mentoring, and developing staff.
- Experience with development and training of staff on technical and non-technical matters.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant industry experience will be considered.
- Proven ability to manage and develop staff.
- Experience supervising 2 to 5 or more individuals.
- Experience with building and providing presentations and briefings to senior management and boards.
- Involvement in professional organizations, such as IIA, AHIA, AGA, ALGA, AICPA, etc.
