Governance, Risk, and Compliance Manager - Healthcare

About the role

The Weaver Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to join our expanding Healthcare practice. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership potential, client service excellence, and a deep understanding of internal audit, compliance, and consulting services.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of internal audit, compliance, and consulting services for clients in various industries, particularly in healthcare.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including executives and boards of directors.
• Manage and mentor a team of up to 5 individuals, providing guidance on technical and non-technical matters.
• Develop and provide presentations and briefings to senior management and boards.
• Build and provide presentations and briefings to senior management and boards.
• Engage in professional organizations such as IIA, AHIA, AGA, ALGA, AICPA, etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
• CPA, CIA, or other relevant certification.
• 4+ years of experience in client service roles, organizational experience in internal audit or compliance, or consulting experience.
• Experience in healthcare industry, including public health and private healthcare.
• Advanced understanding of compliance, internal audit, risk, COSO internal control framework, and IIA Global Audit standards.
• Advanced professional writing skills and executive presence.
• Strong project management, independent thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Strong relationship management and practice development skills.
• Experience in managing, mentoring, and developing staff.
• Experience with development and training of staff on technical and non-technical matters.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant industry experience will be considered.
• Proven ability to manage and develop staff.
• Experience supervising 2 to 5 or more individuals.
• Experience with building and providing presentations and briefings to senior management and boards.
• Involvement in professional organizations, such as IIA, AHIA, AGA, ALGA, AICPA, etc.
