About the role

The Weaver Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to join our expanding Healthcare practice. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership in personal and professional growth, team development, and client relationships. Responsibilities include leading all phases of internal audit, compliance, and consulting services, particularly in healthcare industries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead internal audit, compliance, and consulting projects for healthcare clients
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Manage and mentor a team of staff members
  • Provide presentations and briefings to senior management and boards
  • Supervise and train staff on technical and non-technical matters

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Public Administration, or a related field
  • CPA, CIA, or other relevant certification
  • 4+ years of experience in client service roles, preferably in internal audit or compliance
  • Experience in healthcare industry, including public health and private healthcare
  • Advanced understanding of compliance, internal audit, risk, COSO internal control framework, and IIA Global Audit standards
  • Strong project management, independent thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent relationship management and communication abilities
  • Experience in managing and developing staff
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field (preferred)

Qualifications

  • Advanced professional writing skills and executive presence
  • Strong relationship management and practice development skills
  • Experience with development and training of staff on technical and non-technical matters
  • Prior experience supervising 2 to 5 or more individuals
  • Experience with building and providing presentations and briefings to senior management and boards
  • Involvement in professional organizations such as IIA, AHIA, AGA, ALGA, AICPA, etc.
