The Governance Analyst II Role

The Governance Analyst II role is equivalent to a Conflicts Analyst position at most other law firms.

  • Thursdays - Mondays
  • 8 AM (PST) - 5 PM (PST) - DC
  • 9 AM (EST) - 7 PM (EST) - LA/SD

Residency Requirements

  • Washington D.C.: Within Washington D.C., Maryland or Virginia and within a reasonable commutable distance to the assigned office.
  • Los Angeles and San Francisco Offices: Within the state of California and within a reasonable commutable distance to the assigned office.

Salary Range

$49.09/HR - $60.10/HR ($102,107.20 - $125,008.00 annually)

Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise to the governance program, including conflicts checks, new matter intake, ethical walls, records management, outside counsel guidelines, and audit letters
  • Conduct conflicts checks for new client/matters, pitches, prospective attorneys, and professionals
  • Prepare and analyze conflicts reports to identify potential conflicts issues
  • Communicate potential conflicts issues to attorneys and other interested parties; assist with conflicts resolution
  • Document and maintain matter lifecycle data in Intapp, 3E, and other systems
  • Complete new business intake forms and provide administrative support for the intake review process
  • Draft, analyze, and review engagement letters; evaluate the need for ethical walls
  • Set up ethical walls in billing and document management systems; draft and circulate ethical screening memoranda

Firmwide Tools Proficiency

  • Conflicts database systems (e.g., Intapp, 3E, Aderant, Legal Key)
  • Records, intake, and secure file transfer systems (e.g., Intapp, 3E, FileTrail, Varonis, Kiteworks)
