About the role
Sphera is seeking a Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role will play a crucial part in translating business visions into actionable objectives and ensuring seamless integration of technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Work with key project stakeholders and the customer/end user to understand the overall business vision for a project and translate that into actionable objectives.
- Provide a communication conduit between the business and technical community by interpreting and translating business needs into technical requirements.
- Comprehend and document requirements from multiple stakeholders and conceptualize solutions.
- Develop deep understanding of current systems and processes and analyze impact of changes as new solutions are introduced to the environment.
- Collaborate directly with business owners, sales, QA and development teams.
- Collaborate with other business analysts to manage interdependencies across the product suite.
- Aid in developing and validating test plans.
- Develop and provide product presentations and/or training to existing customer, and potential customers.
- Travel may be required.
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience as a business analyst or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year in a technical role which requires technical thinking and converting technical aspects into requirements.
- Must be able to qualify and maintain clearance to work on a U.S. military installation.
- Experience in AGILE environment with constantly changing goals, timelines and resources.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and effective project management skills.
- Ability to analyze and document complex business processes.
- Ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
- Ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver.
- Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information.
- Demonstrated understanding and proficiencies in Microsoft Office suite including and Visio.
- Experience working with Web based applications, relational databases, and EDI technology is a plus.
- Experience working with Department of Defense is a plus.
- Knowledge of Environmental and/or Logistics Processes is a plus.
Specific Job Duties
The specialist will be responsible for:
- Working closely with key stakeholders to define project goals and translate them into actionable objectives.
- Communicating effectively between the business and technical communities to ensure clear understanding and implementation of requirements.
- Understanding and documenting various stakeholder requirements to develop comprehensive solutions.
- Analyzing current systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and the impact of new solutions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and alignment of projects.
- Assisting in the development and validation of test plans to ensure quality and reliability of solutions.
- Providing product presentations and training to both existing and potential customers.
- Traveling as needed to support project requirements.
Pay
$77,000.00 - $123,000.00 + Eligible for Variable Compensation Plan

Working Conditions
Work is generally performed inside an office environment.
Training
The specialist may be required to complete training courses identified by Sphera and/or the government site as essential to job performance and may include (but not limited to) the following: HMMS Suite Training, Sphera Corporation Training, Government Required Training.
