Golf Shop Sales Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Golf Professional and Assistant Golf Professionals on the daily management of golf operations
• Aid in golfer check-in and fee collection; control and manage play; reconcile daily tee sheets
• Administer all point of sales applications related to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing
• Promote all club golf activities
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop
• Manage proper records and billing of storage and lockers for membership
• Aid golf professionals during tournaments and weekly games
• Monitor all members' scores, report handicaps to USGA, and bill members
• Follow established opening and closing procedures
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
• Perform other duties as required

Work experience and education requirements

• Preferred previous golf course and/or retail experience
• High School Diploma
• Prefer some College or College Degree, or equivalent experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Traits

• Motivated to thrive in the golf industry
• Experienced in written and oral business communication
• Proficient in computer usage including Microsoft Word, Excel, & Publisher
• Proficient in other applications such as email, internet, and database
• Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
• Self-motivated with a desire to promote and market
• Service and customer-focused attitude
• Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community
