About the role

Wintonbury Hills Golf Course in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a part‑time Golf Shop Clerk. The position is seasonal, with work required through November including weekends. General purpose: offers superior customer service while selling merchandise and assisting management in merchandising, inventory control, reservations, and special events preparation.

Responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing procedures for the shop.
• Account for all sales and money transactions.
• Collect applicable fees from patrons upon arrival.
• Make reservations (tee‑times, classes, etc.) and assist customers on the phone.
• Sell merchandise and provide information to guests in a professional manner.
• Assist with rotating stock and keeping displays clean and orderly.
• Assist with general cleaning of the shop.
• Help create appealing displays.
• Assist with periodic physical inventories.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Expertise with POS software.
• Ability to work through November, including weekends.
• Seasonal, part‑time availability.

Skills

• Golf knowledge is helpful but not required.
