About the role
The Golf Shop Attendant ensures the smooth operation of the golf shop by providing excellent customer service to members and guests, assisting with equipment rentals, retail sales, and supporting various golf operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet members, guests, and staff with a warm, professional, and friendly attitude.
- Provide information regarding golf shop products, services, and club facilities.
- Assist members and guests with golf equipment rentals (clubs, carts, etc.).
- Ensure a positive and memorable experience for all guests and members by providing personalized service.
- Check in players for tee times and process all golf-related transactions (e.g., green fees, cart rentals, and retail purchases) accurately.
- Monitor golf cart availability, ensuring that carts are cleaned and ready for use.
- Assist in stocking and organizing merchandise such as apparel, golf clubs, balls, accessories, and other retail items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of the golf shop at all times.
- Ensure that shelves, displays, and merchandise are neat and well-stocked.
- Assist with scheduling tee times and ensuring members' requests are met.
- Keep track of tee time reservations and ensure smooth flow on the course.
- Support the Golf Shop Manager and other staff with administrative tasks as necessary.
- Stay knowledgeable about new products and golf course updates to provide accurate information to members.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of golf and the golf industry.
- Previous experience in customer service or retail environments is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak golf season hours.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift items up to 30 lbs.
- Comfortable working in outdoor or indoor environments as needed.
