Responsibilities
- Provides sincere and courteous service to all members and guests
- Assists members and guests with pre and post golf round needs
- Handling of golf bags to and from cars, bag racks and carts
- Sets up for daily member play, regular tee times, groups & outings
- Cleans carts, clubs and prepares golf supplies
- Oversee presentation of driving range, chipping and putting areas
- Maintains the bag drop, cart staging and storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion
- Performs opening and closing procedure for the bag room & cart barn
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management
- Perform other duties as assigned by Golf Course Head Professional or Assistant Golf Professional
Qualifications
- A valid driver's license is required
- Must have strong customer/guest orientation
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be dependable
- Must have friendly personality and enjoy working with the public
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
- Knowledge or an understanding of the game of golf is a plus
- Prior customer service experience preferred
Working Conditions
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions including hot, humid, cold, windy and raining
- While performing the required duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with arms and hands
- The employee often is required to walk, stand, talk or hear, handle, feel or operate objects
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30lbs occasionally
- Must be comfortable standing for the majority of shift
- Work extended hours during golf and holiday season
- Work weekends and holidays
