Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Town-owned golf course, including upkeep and maintenance of Town property.
  • Perform manual or semi-skilled work consistent with the organization’s stated values.
  • Operate equipment such as sand pro bunker rakes, trimmers, dump trucks, tractors, and forklifts.
  • Perform heavy manual tasks, including lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects and materials up to 75 pounds.
  • Physically access all work sites to perform duties, potentially in various weather and environmental conditions.
  • Lead or supervise seasonal maintenance workers (Golf Maintenance Worker III only).

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old (Golf Maintenance Worker I) or 17 years old (Golf Maintenance Worker II & III).
  • Possession of a valid Colorado Driver’s License preferred (required for Golf Maintenance Worker III).
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to follow both oral and written directions.
  • Skill and dexterity to operate equipment such as sand pro bunker rakes and trimmers.
  • Frequent performance of activities requiring full range of body movement (climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting).
  • Frequent hand/eye coordination for operating tools, electrical equipment, and vehicles.
  • Vision for reading, recording, and interpreting information; speech communication and hearing for maintaining communication.

Qualifications

  • Golf Maintenance Worker I: No formal education required; ability to perform manual work under supervision.
  • Golf Maintenance Worker II: High School Diploma or GED preferred, supplemented by one year of work experience demonstrating safe operation of equipment; or equivalent combination.
  • Golf Maintenance Worker III: High School Diploma or GED preferred, supplemented by two to three years of work experience demonstrating safe operation of equipment; or equivalent combination. Must satisfactorily complete a driving record check and criminal background check prior to employment.

Physical Demands

  • Moderate to heavy physical work, including lifting up to 75 lbs, carrying up to 75 lbs, and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent full range of body movement (climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting).
  • Frequent hand/eye coordination for operating tools and equipment.

Work Environment

  • Works primarily outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions.
  • Regular exposure to dust, noise, and chemicals.
  • May require occasional use of personal equipment (e.g., vehicle, cell phone, tools).

Equipment Used

  • Heavy equipment common to construction and maintenance (e.g., dump trucks, tractors, forklifts).
  • Tools such as sand pro bunker rakes and trimmers.

Pay

Anticipated hiring range: $15.16/HR - $22.88/HR, dependent on qualifications and experience.
