Key Responsibilities
- Port and optimize software GNSS algorithms onto embedded platforms
- Work in the lab to integrate, test, and demonstrate GNSS functionality on target hardware
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate GNSS performance and deliver a working lab demonstration
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Background in GNSS, navigation, signal processing, or wireless communications
- Experience with embedded systems development (bare-metal or RTOS)
- Proficiency in C/C++; Python skills a plus
- Ability to work hands-on in a hardware lab environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Skills
- Experience porting software-defined radio (SDR) or software GNSS receivers (e.g., GNSS-SDR, SoftGNSS)
- Familiarity with GNSS signal structure (GPS L1 C/A, Galileo, BeiDou, etc.)
- Experience with ARM Cortex-M/A or RISC-V embedded processors
- Knowledge of DSP concepts: correlation, FFT, carrier/code tracking loops
- Experience with Git version control
- Familiarity with RF front-end hardware and signal chain from antenna to baseband
- Prior lab experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, or RF test equipment is a plus

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
