GMK Precision Tech Intern - Insight FS - Jefferson, WI

Insight FS is headquartered in Jefferson, Wisconsin with 23 branches across the state and upper peninsula of Michigan. About the role

Serves as the Precision Technology intern under the direction of the Sales/Marketing Manager, training and assisting with general Agronomy and Precision Technology functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the usage and implementation of Advanced Information Systems like CLIMATE, MiField, mavrx, Precision Planting, and Scout Pro.
• Serve as a support resource for all Agronomy’s precision farming products.
• Gain hands-on experience in agronomy field work.
• Visit FS locations and customers to build professional relationships.
• Follow GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a degree or certification from a community college, technical college, or university and in good academic standing at the start of the internship.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently.
• Shows essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
• Frequently required to lift 51-70 pounds as needed.
• Potentially exposed and required to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wet, etc.), as well as working at various heights or elevated platforms.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel independently.
• Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures.
