GMK Agronomy Intern - Insight FS - Southeast, WI

About the role

Serves as the Agronomy intern under the direction of the Field Sales Agronomist, training and assisting with general Agronomy functions.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field work.
• Visit FS locations and customers to build professional relationships.
• Participate in all phases of field crop research, demonstration, and training, including planning, planting, treatment preparation, application, equipment calibration, field plot monitoring and maintenance, signing, field events, sample collection, training material preparation, harvest, data entry, and report generation.
• Coordinate communication with multi-site contacts, schedule field activities, and carry out projects.
• Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment.
• Follow GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a degree or certification from a community college, technical college, or university and in good academic standing at the time the internship begins.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently.
• Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel independently and overnight as needed.
• Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures.
