Daily USMCA Tasks
- TSCA certificate creation as needed
- ISF filling reports and compliance audit (import shipments)
- AES, CARM filling reports and compliance audits
- K-84 Canadian taxes review and payments, as applicable
- Certificate of Origin requests and monitoring, including HS Codes accuracy
- USMCA/FTA request and issue creation as needed
- End User reviews, screens, and legal diligence (sanctions review)
- Provide guidance on impact of tariff regulations and monitor and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders
- Answer inquiries regarding CTPAT and other similar certifications
- Provide guidance on Duty Drawback processes
- Conduct monthly FTA audit
- Periodically review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Trade Compliance purposes
- Create and provide training on global trade compliance matters and applicable regulations to internal stakeholders
Subject Matter Expert
- Free Trade Zones and Free Trade Agreements in the North and South America region (e.g., IMMEX, USFTZ, others)
- Request and prepare annual letters to manufacturing companies for FTA/COO inquiries as needed
- Create, maintain, and update Nexeo Plastics’ Global Trade documentation and training
- Regional support for the movement of cargo from both export and import sides of transactions
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or logistics
- 5 to 7 years of International Trade Compliance experience
- 3 years of Drawback and FTA knowledge
- Extensive understanding of U.S. export and import regulations
- Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, ability to communicate with all levels of company management
