About the role

YouTube Marketing’s mission is to know our users, and to connect them to the magic of our products and creators. We make YouTube successful by shaping people’s perceptions of YouTube and inspiring them to engage with us. We’re also responsible for all of YouTube’s marketing activities to consumers, creators, and key opinion influencers. As a part of YouTube’s Marketing (YTM) organization, Strategy and Operations (S&O) professionals provide business critical insights and analytics, ensure cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and help teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward.

Responsibilities

  • Define problem statement and project scope to deliver against key business objectives with guidance, execute components of a project plan and help deliver aspects of projects in a high-quality and timely manner.
  • Support a data-driven annual business planning process and annual goals, and land the business plan in partnership with all the stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to facilitate business judgement, market understanding, and fact-based analysis to identify, prioritize, and solve complex business problems.
  • Identify and recommend strategic opportunities to support YouTube Marketing’s long-term goals.
  • Monitor, track and analyze metrics and complex data to ensure progress against business objectives, surface actionable insights to help drive the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a management consulting, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, or private equity role.
  • Experience working with clients, executives, or other partners.
  • Experience developing business strategies or executing cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a role requiring distinctive business judgment, rigorous problem-solving, quantitative analysis, and communicating findings to senior management.
  • Experience with analytical tools/techniques (SQL, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, spreadsheet software).
  • Familiarity with how marketing capabilities come together to drive impact.
  • Ability to work across teams, build relationships, and influence senior managers.
  • Tolerance for ambiguity and ability to work in a fast-changing environment.
  • Possess foundational understanding of market, product, organizational and cross-functional nuances with an awareness of when to seek additional support and guidance.

Skills

  • Hypothesis-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong quantitative skills.
  • Comfort with broad-reaching and ambiguous questions.

Benefits

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $95,000 - $136,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
