About the role
The Global Startup and Venture Program Lead at Amplitude is responsible for shaping how the company engages with AI native startups, positioning Amplitude as the platform of choice for their growth. This role involves leading the Startup and Venture Strategy, driving founder engagement and ecosystem presence, representing Amplitude in key markets, owning the activation and growth of the startup web experience, and aligning startup initiatives with Product, Sales, and Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Own and scale the Amplitude for Startups program while building strategic relationships with VCs, accelerators, and ecosystem partners to drive global adoption among AI native startups.
- Design and execute a founder-focused engagement strategy, including high-impact events and community initiatives, to position Amplitude as the trusted AI analytics partner for startups.
- Travel regularly to attend and host events primarily in San Francisco and New York, with select international engagements, to strengthen founder relationships, deepen venture partnerships, and expand Amplitude’s presence within priority ecosystems.
- Optimize the startup web experience and activation journey, partnering with product and marketing teams to deliver a strong customer experience and support.
- Align startup initiatives with Product, Sales, and Marketing by building scalable program frameworks, defining success metrics, and ensuring insights from founders inform company strategy.
- Build our event model for startups, working with the team on topics, presentations, and execution. Support on the ground when needed.
- Manage and develop a Startup Marketing Specialist and contractor while building processes that enable efficient, scalable execution.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in startups, venture capital, ecosystem partnerships, or growth programs.
- Established relationships within the Bay Area VC and startup community.
- Strong understanding of founder needs, product market fit challenges, and early-stage growth dynamics.
- Experience building and scaling strategic programs that drive measurable adoption.
- Demonstrated success in designing and running high-impact events and community initiatives.
- Deep interest in AI native ecosystems and emerging technology trends.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives for founders and investors.
- Analytical mindset with experience defining program metrics and reporting on business impact.
- Comfortable operating cross-functionally and influencing across Product, Sales, and Marketing.
- A builder’s mindset with the ability to move quickly, think strategically, and execute thoughtfully.
- Ability to travel ~10-15% of the time to Amplitude, partner, and industry events.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven track record of success in a leadership role within a startup or venture capital firm.
- Experience with AI and analytics tools and platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

$167,000 - $251,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)
