Global Sourcing Specialist – Build to Print | New Product Introduction

About the role

We are seeking a Global Sourcing Specialist to focus on the Build to Print category for our New Product Introduction (NPI) Supply Chain team. You will be a machined and formed metallics subject matter expert, providing guidance and insight to the broader category team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with key stakeholders (design engineering, supplier quality, production procurement) to create long-term sourcing plans for metallic build to print components resulting in improved quality, consistent delivery in support of production, and cost improvement.
• Define operational strategy and process for New Product Introductions. Specifically, in support of machined, formed, cast or 3D printed parts in the Beta NPI portfolio.
• Conduct market research on trends, materials, equipment and innovations.
• Organize Design for Desired Attribute (DfX) projects with key supply partners helping to inform continuous improvement of designs.
• Establish and maintain relationships with global Build to Print suppliers.
• Participate in the generation of Statements of Work (SoW).
• Develop Request for Proposal (RFP) packages.
• Perform total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses, perform benchmarking activities to improve organizational understanding.
• Drive milestones to ensure projected timelines are held and drive course correction actions.
• Develop solutions and strategies for improving delivery lead-times on parts and materials.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of applicable manufacturing techniques (CNC milling, turning, drilling, casting, stamping, bending, punching, additive manufacturing, welding, etc.).
• Working experience with CAD interpretation, ERP systems, cost modeling tools, RFQ platforms.
• Comfortable with frequent change of direction, dynamic work environment, and passion to perform under pressure.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Materials Science, or related field.
• 5+ years direct experience working with Build to Print parts (programming, machine operator, part designer) or managing suppliers providing Build to Print parts.
• Supplier audit/assessment experience.
• Understanding of aerospace quality requirements (AS9100, traceability, FAA certification requirements).
• Experience developing and executing category/commodity sourcing strategies.
• Strong ability to perform both as a part of a team and to perform as an individual.

Pay

$100,000—$120,000 USD

Schedule

Up to 40% travel required depending on program status and sourcing activities.
