Global Solution Architect
About the role
The Solution Architect will guide the large-project technical team during bid responses and resource engagement for complex Data Center projects. Responsibilities include directing technical aspects of the bid, evaluating specifications, defining project scope, and managing technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Set, coordinate, and communicate overall project engineering/technical strategy aligned with customer expectations
- Evaluate technical specifications and deliverables for customer response
- Guide development of technical solution to ensure constructability, functionality, and value
- Define project technical work scope and breakdown structure
- Work with procurement team to specify and verify supply specifications
- Compile technical clarifications and exceptions into project-level detail
- Lead technical design review meetings with customers
- Participate in tender capture team to share technical solutions and adjacencies
- Assess and mitigate project technical risks
- Deliver technical offers and associated documents
- Defend technical solution choices during negotiations
- Support execution team through project booking
- Provide subject matter expertise support
Requirements
15 years of experience in engineering of large construction projects, culminating in leading project/engineering teams. BS or MS in Engineering or Construction Management, Professional Engineering license preferred. Comprehensive project cost estimating and value engineering experience. Fundamental understanding of engineering design process and ability to apply concepts in an accelerated environment. Comprehensive knowledge of Schneider Electric or similar product and services portfolio, especially in MV and LV Electrical Distribution, Automation, Monitoring, Control & Security Systems for Buildings, Process and Discrete Applications, including Energy Management and Installation & Commissioning Services.
Qualifications
- Advanced level in System Integration, Technical Solution Design, Project Management, Requirements Analysis, Risk Assessment, and Technical Documentation
- Advanced level in Accountability and Critical Thinking
- 15 years of experience in engineering of large construction projects
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- Professional Engineering license preferred

USD 168,800 - USD 253,200 per year
