About the role

This role is approved to be remote anywhere in the US. The Global Senior Sourcing Manager - HVAC will lead category-level sourcing strategy development and execution, develop and manage a global supply base to meet Ferguson’s business growth needs, and drive global supplier performance. Responsibilities include supplier diversification, business unit integration, new supplier onboarding, cost optimization, and ensuring supply continuity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of global sourcing and supplier development strategic initiatives to support Ferguson’s global sourcing needs.
  • Understand and define key product cost structures, identify cost savings opportunities, and lead cost optimization project execution.
  • Lead category-related supplier exploration, qualification, and onboarding.
  • Lead contract negotiation and execution.
  • Implement global new and existing product development and sourcing projects, ensuring successful execution of the product development pipeline.
  • Identify, lead, and coordinate supplier diversification efforts in key categories.
  • Support business unit integration-related complex projects and collaborate closely with business unit functional teams.
  • Establish and build long-term relationships with new and existing suppliers.
  • Support global sourcing and business operational process development and optimization.
  • Lead supplier scorecard evaluation and coordinate supplier business reviews.
  • Manage category-related supplier performance and facilitate supplier-related issue resolution.
  • Ensure continuity of supply for key categories and collaborate with procurement and global supply chain teams to meet inventory optimization goals.
  • Provide inputs into the annual budget and work within approved budget guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sourcing, product development, design/engineering, material and commodity management, or supply chain-related experience.
  • Experience with HVAC equipment and accessories is a plus.
  • CPSM Certification is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills and customer service orientation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Financial proficiency coupled with a technical mindset.
  • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to develop and deliver presentations to large groups.
  • Ability to develop and grow relationships with external suppliers, internal peers, and other functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of category-related products, manufacturing methods, and applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (MS 365, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Power BI).
  • Strong knowledge of the international manufacturing landscape, including understanding countries' strengths and weaknesses in applicable product categories.
  • Knowledge of sustainability, including sustainable sourcing practices and regulations related to HVAC products.
  • Experience with industry standards, approvals, and certification processes.

Schedule

  • Travel required in global regions, including North America, Central and South America, China, Southeast Asia, and India (10–15%).

Pay

Actual pay rate may vary depending on location. The estimated pay range for this position is $9,900.00 – $16,133.70 monthly for salaried roles. This role is bonus or incentive plan eligible. Starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
