About the Role
The Global Security Advisor will be embedded within key manufacturing or customer support business units to provide protective intelligence and guidance while proactively detecting threats to people, property, and proprietary information. The Advisor will support enterprise-wide investigative efforts (e.g., workplace violence, Insider Threat) and provide event and travel security as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary security advisor within the assigned business unit, cultivating trust-based relationships across all levels to promote a safe and secure environment.
- Provide proactive guidance on security protocols, threat awareness, and risk mitigation.
- Monitor and assess behaviors indicative of insider threats, property theft, intellectual property loss, or other risks to assets through daily engagement.
- Initiate preliminary assessments after necessary internal approvals.
- Conduct confidential investigations into workplace violence, Insider Threat, and other disruptive behaviors within Global Security Services’ purview.
- Deliver clear, concise briefings, including risk assessments, observations, and reports.
- Provide security planning and operational support for global trade shows, exhibitions, and marketing events, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies for personnel and brand protection.
- Liaise with U.S. government entities when supporting international events or travel.
- Provide guidance or directly oversee contracted personnel supporting Global Security Services.
- Mentor less experienced members of the Global Security Services organization.
- Conduct regular assessments of deployed security technologies to evaluate effectiveness and identify vulnerabilities, providing actionable recommendations for enhancements.
- Represent Gulfstream as a member of U.S. government-sanctioned or law enforcement working groups.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- 6 years of related experience in Security, Law Enforcement, or Emergency Management.
- 2 years of prior experience in a corporate security environment strongly preferred.
- Graduate of the FBI National Academy or other advanced, specialist training in law enforcement, security, or intelligence preferred.
- Proven experience working with local, state, and federal regulations and nationally recognized standards.
- Experience conducting physical security surveys, audits, threat assessments, and compiling detailed reports.
- Experience dealing with cultural sensitivities, language barriers, interpreters, and security issues in international settings.
- Demonstrated advanced computer knowledge.
- Additional certifications may be required based on area of responsibility.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Schedule
- First shift.
- Up to 25% travel required.
