About the role
The Global Purchasing Manager, Indirect Sourcing supports Element Solutions (ESI) Global Sourcing activities for indirect categories. This role collaborates cross-functionally and engages suppliers to execute sourcing strategies, drive cost savings initiatives, and improve supplier performance.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies for Indirect categories, including MRO and professional services.
- Execute regional and global sourcing projects to achieve cost savings, process efficiencies, and value creation.
- Manage supplier relationships, including supplier selection, onboarding, and ongoing performance monitoring.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support Capital Expenditure projects through competitive sourcing, pricing negotiations, and contract execution.
- Monitor and report compliance with preferred suppliers and sourcing policies; support corrective actions as needed.
- Assist in identifying supply risks and contribute to business continuity planning and mitigation strategies.
- Support the rollout and effective use of corporate purchasing tools and systems (e.g., p-cards, procurement platforms).
- Track, validate, and report savings initiatives and sourcing project performance.
- Contribute to supplier performance management processes, including data collection for supplier scorecards and KPI tracking.
- Collaborate with regional sourcing teams to ensure alignment with corporate policies, including supplier code of conduct, purchasing policy and ESI Purchasing Terms & Conditions.
- Gather and analyze market intelligence to support sourcing decisions and provide updates on supply market conditions.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within procurement.
Requirements
Functional / Technical Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
- 6–10 years of procurement or supply chain experience, within a global, matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated global sourcing experience at scale, including managing multi-region supplier portfolios, executing cross-border sourcing strategies, and negotiating complex agreements across geographies.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings through sourcing initiatives, supplier consolidation, and contract negotiations.
- Strong capability in spend analysis, market intelligence, and cost modeling to support sourcing decisions.
- Experience with procurement systems, supplier management tools, and analytics platforms (e.g., Excel, Power BI, ERP systems).
- Working knowledge of contracting principles, supplier governance, and risk management practices.
