Global Product Manager - Precious Metal Chemicals

Responsibilities

  • Support the business management activities of the precious metal chemicals (PMC) portfolio including margin management, strategy implementation, pricing, product/customer action planning and business financial forecasting.
  • Drive the multiyear precious metal chemical growth strategy aligned with business and commercial targets.
  • Serve as a key interface between the precious metal chemicals (PMC) business and the Mobile Emissions (CC-EE) and Hydrogen businesses, manufacturing key raw materials used by these businesses.
  • Own: Margin Management, Pricing, Costing Analysis, New Product Strategies, Precious Metal Management Activities, Business Financial Forecasting, Product Portfolio Strategy, Retention & Growth Strategies, New Product Introduction Process Development, Growth Projects Cross-Business Divisions and Cross-Business Functions, Short-Term Budget Process, Short-Term Plan Alignment, Volume Forecast with Capacity Planning, Alignment Between Business Management and Commercial, Commercial Sales Support, Value Proposition Development, Customer/Product Action Plan Support, Strategic Marketing Support, Market Sizing Activities, Total Accessible Market Quantification, and Go-to-Market Strategy Execution.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial team to deliver profitable growth for targeted products.
  • Develop the new product introduction process.
  • Coordinate growth projects across business divisions and functions.
  • Lead the development of the short-term plan.
  • Ensure alignment between business management and commercial.
  • Guide the sales force relative to product pricing and positioning.
  • Develop the value proposition and customer communications.
  • Support marketing initiatives, including customer segmentation, targeting, and positioning efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Engineering, chemistry or related discipline required.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of work experience required, progressive commercial experience in a global environment preferred.
  • Market sizing activities experience preferred.
  • Understanding of the precious metals markets is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in the chemical industry is preferred.
  • Strong business and financial acumen as well as analytical skills required.
  • Demonstrated strength in establishing and maintaining relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and successful interaction with, and influence, the organization, industry experts, and senior management.
  • Prominent track record of working in a start-up like mode, fostering new ideas into tangible new business opportunities.
  • Strong skills relative to project coordination, time management, multi-tasking, and delivering on commitments.
  • Ability to independently navigate a complex work environment.
  • Ability to build organizational alignment in a global environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 15% of the time.

Qualifications

Pay

The competitive Pay Range for this role is $115k-$145k annually. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
