Global Procurement Manager (Supervisory)
Brief Description
Manager Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the Buyer to ensure all company goals and objectives are met.
- Provide clear vision, roles, and responsibilities for team members and regularly evaluate employee performance against such.
- Direct supervision responsibilities of team members.
- Recruits, interviews, hires, trains, evaluates, directs, and manages new and current team members.
- Oversees the daily workflow and assignments.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Organizes and oversees the schedule of production and work of assigned staff.
- Communicates and leads corrective actions and changes needed to improve operations and performance.
- Works with the supply chain team in the effort to drive company OTIF (on-time and in-full) metrics.

- Education And Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain management, operations, logistics or a similar field preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management or a related field.
- In depth understanding of the global chemical supply chain.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of management experience.
- Knowledge of proper freight handling/loading techniques.
- Proficient computer, Microsoft Office suite of products and ERP skills required.
- MS Dynamics and Excel strongly preferred.
- Physical Requirements:
- Located in an office with potential time spent in the chemical and shipping warehouse(s).
- Must wear designated safety gear and PPE when appropriate.
- Walking between departments, using stairs and climbing ladders.
- Bending, crouching, kneeling and the ability to lift 50 lbs. manually and unassisted.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Summary
As the Global Procurement Manager, you will report to the Director of Supply Chain or anyone of like status. You will be responsible for managing the global procurement operations for the organization. You will maintain supplier relationships and identify potential partnerships that are aligned with Inolex’s values by monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing bids and quotes with suppliers. You will be responsible for solving for single-sourced raw materials and developing a sourcing and buy strategy for raw materials and purchased ingredients in collaboration with planning and contract manufacturing management. You must be able to work cross-departmentally to ensure and maintain optimum service for both our internal and external customers.
