Global Procurement Category Lead Engineering and Construction

About the role

This role will lead global category strategy for engineering and construction-related spend, with a focus on aligning sourcing plans to business priorities and operational needs. You will partner closely with regional sourcing teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to drive disciplined category management and improve supply performance. The position also plays a key role in supplier relationship management, compliance, and global transformation initiatives across the procurement organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global category strategies aligned with corporate and business objectives
• Lead and manage projects for global strategy and business model redesign
• Drive effective category management and sourcing strategies for key commodities
• Conduct negotiations with major suppliers and guide regional sourcing efforts
• Oversee supplier relationship management processes and ensure compliance with global policies
• Monitor supply performance KPIs and lead operational reviews
• Develop and mentor team members within the procurement organization

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering preferred
• Postgraduate business degree; MBA highly regarded
• Minimum 12 years' experience in strategic sourcing or related fields
• Minimum 2 years' senior leadership experience with global teams
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Solid understanding of A&E/EPC/EPCM, CQV/CSV categories
• Preferred understanding of the pharmaceutical industry

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually
