Global Operations Specialist

Interra International is a global leader in the trade supply and distribution of food commodities and ingredients. We also distribute consumer packaged goods to retail and food service industries. We’re looking for a bilingual Global Operations Specialist to keep our shipments to Central and South America moving and compliant. You’ll file electronic export information and manage export documentation, submit shipping instructions to ocean carriers , and be the person our Spanish-speaking customers trust to keep them informed. What You’ll Do Prepare and file EEI through AES in line with U.S. export regulationsReview each shipment and determine the documents it needs by country and commodityTrack shipments to the customer, applying Incoterms and capturing all costsBuild relationships with customers by phone and in writing, in SpanishResolve documentation and delivery issues, and work with Sales to keep customers informed What You Bring At least 1 year in export operations, export compliance, freight forwarding, or international logisticsFluent English and Spanish, including professional reading and writing in SpanishWorking knowledge of U.S. export compliance and AES regulationsSharp attention to detail and a compliance mindsetA customer-first approach and the ability to build rapport over the phoneProficiency in Excel and WordBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred: transportation, international business, or supply chain)Ability to pass a reference and background check
