Global Industrial Engineer Intern - Fall 2026

About the role

The intern will support the development and application of simulation models for capacity analysis and process optimization of specialized semiconductor manufacturing tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate tool performance
• Identify system bottlenecks
• Quantify the impact of process and configuration changes through data-driven analysis
• Work closely with Global IE engineers to model real-world manufacturing systems
• Support capacity improvement decisions

Requirements

• Undergraduate or Masters student in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or other related programs
• Experience in programming and data analysis (Python, R, Julia, or similar)
• Preferred: Discrete-event simulation knowledge
• Data-driven problem solving and statistical analysis skills
• Strong analytical thinking and root cause analysis abilities
• Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to a non-technical audience using visuals and examples
• Self-motivated; can take initiative and prioritize work
• Collaborative working style
