Global Head of Talent Acquisition, Managing Director

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a scalable global talent acquisition strategy to attract, evaluate and hire qualified candidates to meet current and future global enterprise hiring needs.
  • Proactively identify and address hiring needs.
  • Manage and develop a team of recruiters.
  • Lead the Global Recruitment team strategy and execution including annual development of a firmwide hiring plan and budget, managing all SLA’s, data management, reporting, continuous improvement, programmatic hiring (campus), among other responsibilities.
  • Reinforce direct hiring strategies.
  • Promote opportunity in the workplace and ensure recruiting strategies attract diverse candidates.
  • Drive organizational behavior change in the approach to hiring, while balancing historical culture norms.
  • Develop strong relationships and personally engage with the Blue Owl Capital leadership team to gather a deep understanding of the business for proactively planning and developing the talent acquisition strategy and candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Partner with internal teams (Hiring Managers, Department Heads HR Business Partners, HR Ops, etc.) to develop integrated talent strategies to attract, grow, and retain top talent from both external and internal markets.
  • Establish a close partnership with the CHRO and HRBP Teams to determine selection assessment strategy, build tools to assess executive talent and proactively pipeline talent for the future.
  • Evaluate, refine and build in-house capability and selection procedures to deliver proactive sourcing, executive search, market mapping, market intelligence, and recruiting thought leadership.
  • Effectively manage senior level opinions and direction changes, influencing talent decisions and strategies.
  • Assume responsibility for Executive/Senior level searches, as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Extensive prior experience with in-house and/or recruitment firm strategies and teams (both professional and executive).
  • Experience in global, fast-paced, and matrixed organization preferred.
  • Demonstrated deep understanding of all levels of recruitment with a track record of combining vision with execution excellence.
  • Experience managing hiring data collection to maintain accurate reporting of open roles.
  • Experience developing and successfully executing executive internal talent brokering and mobility.
  • Experience maturing TA functions by implementing more effective processes, platforms, and technologies.
  • A proven operational leader with demonstrated success in scaling a high performing team chartered with scaling the company for hyper growth on a global basis, while fostering equity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • An exceptional, people-oriented manager who will develop and support the growth of this team of TA professionals, while keeping them motivated and energized.
  • Ability to develop business cases and garner support from executives and business leaders.
  • Experience managing retained search and contingent vendors delivery and performance.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting client deadlines, building on strong organization, planning, and execution skillsets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and experience in successfully presenting to senior leaders.
  • Working knowledge of Workday.
  • Enhance and leverage Workday Recruiting and continue to develop efficiencies to enable recruiters to focus on seeking talent and building pipelines.
  • Knowledge of market status, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Strong record to target achievement against defined measures of success.
  • Has demonstrated experience in personally hiring at the Executive/Senior levels.

Pay

The base annual salary range for this New York-based position will be $250,000 to $300,000. Actual salary offered will be based on the candidate’s skill, experience, and qualification for the role.

Schedule

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
