About the role

Lead the development and implementation of sales strategies, sales plans, and sales of products or services for the Parenteral Drug Delivery Solutions (DDS) segment.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for achieving all financial targets and overall business performance for the Parenteral Drug Delivery Solutions (DDS) segment.
  • Lead the development and execution of the DDS strategic business plan, aligning mid- and long-term objectives with annual functional goals.
  • Own and drive the Research, Development & Innovation (RD&I) strategy as a core component of overall business growth.
  • Effectively lead strategic and technical marketing to define future product portfolio and investment strategies to support business expansion.
  • Oversee business forecasting, sales performance monitoring, and variance analysis across accounts, products, and sites, ensuring clear communication to leadership.
  • Drive pipeline development and growth initiatives in collaboration with sales leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Support the sales and contract teams with negotiation and execution of complex contractual agreements, including MSAs, licensing, supply, quality, and service contracts.
  • Manage high-value client projects, ensuring customer requirements are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Own pricing strategy and ensure profitability in alignment with global pricing standards and SOPs.
  • Ensure effective supply and demand planning, cross-functional alignment, and compliance with all regulatory, quality, and safety standards (e.g., GMP, ISO, ICH).
  • Demonstrate proven organization and people leadership capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in life science; global exposure in the drug delivery field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in senior management roles, including demonstrated success in negotiating contracts and operating with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage high-performing teams within complex, global matrix organizations.
  • Proven experience in driving business development, marketing, and/or strategic alliance management.
  • Strong financial acumen, including proficiency in cost analysis, forecasting, and net present value (NPV) evaluations.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and interpret complex technical and business information.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FDA cGMP regulations and a strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in drug delivery technologies, including controlled release systems and associated products preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical and Biotech industry experience is preferred.
