Space has evolved from a peaceful environment into a contested and congested domain. The U.S. Space Force is rapidly expanding to address global threats. Booz Allen enables mission success through advanced technology and enabling services to deliver speed to outcomes. Our team is sought out to solve the Service’s most difficult and amorphous problems. We’re seeking prior service members with understanding of how the defense enterprise works and a willingness to problem solve issues big and small. Our teams are tasked with designing, standing up, operating, and optimizing organizations, identifying advanced tools and technology that can expedite military outcomes or reduce staff burden, and managing the byproducts of change through project implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Support Global Force Management (GFM), force sourcing, force allocation, readiness, or operational planning activities within the Department of Defense
  • Support Joint, Combatant Command, Service, or Space Force planning activities, including the Joint Planning Process (JPP), Adaptive Planning and Execution (APEX), campaign planning, or contingency planning
  • Integrate space capabilities into joint or combined operations, including support to geographic Combatant Commands
  • Analyze force requirements, readiness, and operational risk to develop recommendations supporting global force employment and synchronization
  • Coordinate and synchronize activities across Combatant Commands, Military Services, Joint Staff, Space Force organizations, and interagency or allied partners
  • Prepare executive-level briefings, decision papers, and written products to support senior military and civilian leaders
  • Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience supporting Global Force Management (GFM), force sourcing, force allocation, readiness, or operational planning activities within the Department of Defense
  • 4+ years of experience supporting Joint, Combatant Command, Service, or Space Force planning activities, including the Joint Planning Process (JPP), Adaptive Planning and Execution (APEX), campaign planning, or contingency planning
  • 1+ years of experience integrating space capabilities into joint or combined operations, including support to geographic Combatant Commands
  • Knowledge of GFM policies, processes, and authorities governing force assignment, allocation, apportionment, and employment
  • Ability to coordinate and synchronize activities across Combatant Commands, Military Services, Joint Staff, Space Force organizations, and interagency or allied partners
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting the Joint Staff, a Combatant Command, or a Space Component Field Command
  • Experience supporting U.S. Space Force operations, planning, or force presentation
  • Experience coordinating with interagency, allied, or coalition partners
  • Experience using DoD operational planning, readiness, or force management systems and tools
  • Knowledge of Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP) processes and Joint force sourcing
  • Master's degree

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Work Model

  • Remote: Generally expected to have cameras on during meetings. May require occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
  • Hybrid: Expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently, with potential visits to customer facilities.
  • Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers.
