Job Summary

The GES Senior Associate is responsible for developing, recommending, and implementing efficient and effective methods to maximize client benefits, particularly by decreasing clients’ current and future taxes. The GES Senior Associate is also responsible for executing tasks relating to taxation of equity compensation, deferred compensation, and individual and corporate income taxes.

Job Duties

  • Researches situations requiring research, outlines issues, and identifies appropriate research sources.
  • Analyzes researched facts and sources, and composes detailed reports of findings.
  • Assists with compensation planning and benchmarking for executive compensation models.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensures clients comply with applicable authorities, identifies tax and reporting options, and documents work product for review.
  • Reviews SEC filings, survey data, expert opinions, and best practice guidelines to provide clients with creative compensation strategies.
  • Maintains awareness of tax and regulatory changes affecting executive compensation and advises clients on compliance strategies.
  • Develops studies of market practices and regulatory activities to identify alternative compensation strategies.
  • Supports the preparation of studies and develops compensation strategies based on clients' business objectives.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Human Resources, preferred.
  • Master’s degree, preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of prior work experience in compensation and/or strategic service consulting, preferred.
  • Certified Compensation Professional, CPA certification, or other relevant certification, preferred.
  • Proficient in statistical software packages.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
  • High proficiency in English, both verbal and written, with technical writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Solid organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines with attention to details.
  • Ability to manage a team of professionals and delegate work assignments.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel.
  • Ability to encourage a team environment and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnel.
  • Moderate knowledge and understanding of legislative processes regarding tax policy.

Pay

National Range: $73,500 - $131,250
Maryland Range: $73,500 - $131,250
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $73,500 - $131,250
Washington DC Range: $73,500 - $131,250
