About The Role We are seeking an experienced Global Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and advance our worldwide EHS strategy while serving as the hands-on EHS leader for our Rock Hill, South Carolina operations. This highly visible leadership role combines global program development, regulatory compliance, laser safety oversight, and site-level operational support . The successful candidate will partner closely with business leaders across the organization to strengthen safety culture, improve compliance performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout our global operations. As our Corporate Laser Safety Officer (LSO) , you will also play a critical role in maintaining laser safety programs, ensuring compliance with ANSI standards, and supporting product safety initiatives. What We're Looking For Global EHS Leadership Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive global EHS strategy that supports business objectives and operational excellence across multiple locations. Key responsibilities include: Develop, implement, and continuously improve global EHS policies, programs, and standards Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable international regulations Standardize EHS processes, reporting practices, and performance metrics across sites Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action programs Monitor and report EHS KPIs, driving measurable performance improvements Provide subject matter expertise in air permitting, stormwater management, and environmental compliance Support internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions Success Metrics Drive measurable improvements through proactive risk management and continuous improvement initiatives, including: Reduction in workplace incidents and injuries Improved compliance performance Timely completion of corrective actions Enhanced training effectiveness Stronger employee engagement and safety culture Corporate Laser Safety Officer (LSO) Serve as the organization's designated Corporate Laser Safety Officer in accordance with ANSI Z136 standards. Responsibilities include: Manage and maintain corporate laser safety programs Conduct laser hazard evaluations and risk assessments Ensure proper laser classification, controls, and compliance measures Develop and deliver laser safety training programs Prepare annual laser safety reports and documentation Support product safety evaluations, documentation, and reporting requirements Site EHS Leadership | Rock Hill, SC Provide direct EHS leadership and support for three Rock Hill facilities: Manufacturing Facility (3D printers and materials) Research & Development and Corporate Offices Distribution Center Key responsibilities include: Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments Lead incident investigations and corrective action efforts Ensure OSHA compliance and regulatory readiness Support new equipment installations and process changes Manage environmental programs involving air emissions, stormwater, and waste management Partner with operational leaders to create a safe and productive work environment People Leadership Lead and support EHS professionals across our global organization. Responsibilities include: Manage EHS team members in Leuven, Belgium and Littleton, Colorado Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development Foster collaboration and alignment of EHS initiatives worldwide Build strong partnerships with site, operational, and executive leadership teams Training & Safety Culture Champion a culture where safety is a core business value. You will: Develop and deliver EHS training programs Support employee onboarding and ongoing safety education Drive employee engagement and accountability Promote safe behaviors and continuous learning throughout the organization What You'll Bring Required Experience 7+ years of progressive Environmental, Health & Safety experience Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, laboratory, or industrial environments Demonstrated success managing EHS programs and regulatory compliance initiatives Experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action management Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field Global or multi-site EHS leadership experience Experience with air permitting and stormwater compliance programs Laser Safety Officer (LSO) experience Familiarity with ANSI Z136 standards Key Competencies Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations and best practices Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Ability to influence change and drive organizational improvement Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities across a global environment Travel & Work Environment Travel: 20-30% domestic and international Work Environment: Office, laboratory, distribution, and manufacturing environments Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required in designated production areas 3D Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
