Global Compliance & Licensing Counsel

Pluralsight is seeking a Global Compliance & Licensing Counsel to architect our corporate integrity program. As we expand globally, you'll design and scale a world-class compliance function, ensuring we remain protected from regulatory, legal, and reputational risks while fostering a culture of trust. Responsibilities

• Design and build our compliance infrastructure from the ground up, including a Global Compliance Framework, corporate Code of Conduct, and supporting policies.
• Conduct baseline and recurring risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in new market entries and high-risk jurisdictions.
• Build vendor risk management programs, including standardized vendor compliance questionnaires and vetting processes.
• Safeguard intellectual property and manage open-source compliance, establishing internal controls to prevent inadvertent export of controlled technology.
• Establish and lead our whistleblower program, creating a secure, multilingual Global Whistleblower Hotline and managing investigations into reported complaints.
• Operationalize anti-corruption and trade compliance, developing and enforcing Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption (ABAC) policies aligned with FCPA and UK Bribery Act requirements.
• Manage export controls and trade compliance, classifying software products with Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) and implementing automated customer/vendor screening.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership (any US state)
• Minimum 3 years of compliance experience, with demonstrated expertise in FCPA, OFAC, and IP law as it applies to software or technology
• Experience building compliance programs in a tech or software environment
• Proven ability to manage internal investigations and handle sensitive whistleblower disclosures
• Working knowledge of export controls and trade compliance is strongly preferred

Qualifications

• Deep compliance expertise in a tech environment, with a proven track record of building programs
• Expert-level knowledge of FCPA, OFAC, and IP law, with hands-on experience interpreting and operationalizing complex trade and IP laws
• Strong investigative and disclosure skills, including managing internal investigations and handling sensitive whistleblower disclosures
• Vendor risk management proficiency, with experience using compliance screening software and automating due diligence workflows
• Collaborative leadership mindset, able to work effectively across departments to embed compliance into our culture

This position is available for employment in Hybrid - Texas (Westlake) and Remote - USA. Candidates in the DFW metroplex able to work in our Westlake, Texas office will be given preference. The role requires on-site work Tuesday through Thursday for applicants within 45 miles of the Westlake/Dallas, TX office, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $144,400 - $190,000 USD. Actual compensation will depend on location, skills, experience, and other factors.
