Global Compliance & Licensing Counsel

For our client, we are seeking a Global Compliance & Licensing Counsel to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will shape and scale a global compliance program for a technology organization operating across multiple jurisdictions. You will lead key governance initiatives spanning anti-corruption, whistleblower reporting, export controls, and software licensing. This position partners closely with legal, business, and operational stakeholders to strengthen risk management and support responsible growth. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $144,400 – $190,000 annually Responsibilities Design and build a global compliance framework Establish and lead a secure multilingual whistleblower hotline Operationalize anti-corruption policies aligned with FCPA and the UK Bribery Act Manage export controls and classify software products with ECCN Build vendor risk management programs, including compliance vetting Review and negotiate software licensing agreements and support open-source compliance Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree required Active bar membership required in any US state Minimum 3 years of compliance experience in a software or technology environment Expertise in FCPA, OFAC, and IP law related to technology Experience managing internal investigations and sensitive disclosures Proficiency in reviewing and negotiating software licensing agreements Knowledge of export controls and trade compliance preferred Benefits Blended work environment that supports collaboration and flexibility Mission-driven culture focused on shaping the future of tech upskilling Inclusive culture that fosters belonging and contribution Opportunities for skill expansion and purposeful growth Comprehensive medical coverage and unlimited PTO Wellness reimbursement and professional development funds Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
