Key Responsibilities

  • Advise executive leadership and business stakeholders on compliance risks, mitigation strategies, and regulatory requirements, positioning compliance as a proactive and integral part of the company’s growth
  • Oversee global compliance operations, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations (e.g., anti-corruption, antitrust, AML, data privacy) and corporate policies
  • Lead and execute the global compliance strategy, integrating U.S. and European programs into a unified program
  • Develop, implement, enhance and enforce compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments and report key compliance risks and metrics to senior leadership
  • Lead internal investigations and ensure timely, consistent and appropriate resolution in partnership with Legal and HR
  • Build and promote a strong culture of ethics and compliance through training, communication, and leadership engagement
  • Establish auditing, monitoring, and third-party risk management programs to assess effectiveness and ensure adherence
  • Support M&A activities, including compliance due diligence and post-acquisition integration
  • Lead, mentor, and develop an effective global compliance team

Basic Requirements

  • 10+ years of compliance experience, including: 5+ years within biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, 5+ years in a senior compliance leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience in global, matrixed organizations, proficient at collaborating across business functions, and performing roles independently with minimal direction
  • Strong knowledge of OIG Compliance Program Guidance and U.S. Sentencing Guidelines
  • Experience designing and implementing global compliance programs, policies, and controls
  • Exceptional leadership, influencing, and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic, analytical thinker with experience advising executive stakeholders
  • Track record of driving compliance culture and program effectiveness in a global environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required; legal background preferred

Position Details

  • Role Type: Full-time permanent position
  • Location: Onsite in North Carolina (relocation support available)
  • Travel: International travel periodically
  • Compensation: The salary range for this position is $220,000 to $240,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus.
